Kingdom Heritage is the theme that carried a week of revival, outreach and music in Ibadan, and it is worth a closer look.
According to an announcement from CCC Worldwide, The Rehoboth Family International Cathedral (TRFIC) at Oke-Ado, Ibadan, marked its 53rd Adult Harvest Anniversary under the theme "Kingdom Heritage", drawn from 1 Peter 2:9-10. The week opened with a Bible quiz on October 19, followed by evening revival sessions, a concert, and an environmental sanitation exercise, before the grand thanksgiving service on Sunday, October 25.
What stands out is the giving side of the programme:
- A medical outreach and street evangelism
- Feeding 1,000 less-privileged people
- A primary school outreach and an orphanage visit
- A youth week and a Prophet and Prophetess week
The announcement explains the theme as a reminder that believers are "a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation", called to live that out through worship, service and compassion. Celestial Prerogative News later reported that senior clergy joined the shepherd and congregation at the thanksgiving service, with prayers, praise and harvest offerings.
Over to you:
- What does "Kingdom Heritage" mean to you in everyday life, beyond Sunday?
- Has your parish done a harvest outreach that touched your community? Tell us about it.
