Excellent Leadership Award: CAN Ogun State Honours CCC's Rev. E.M.F. Oshoffa at its Golden Jubilee

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has been marking 50 years, and the Ogun State chapter used its Golden Jubilee programme to honour the spiritual head of the Celestial Church of Christ.

According to an announcement from CCC Worldwide, Rev. Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa received an Excellent Leadership Award on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta. The honour recognises his contribution to unity, growth and strength within the Body of Christ in Nigeria. It was presented under CAN Ogun State's chairman, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel O. Adekunle, and secretary, Elder Apostle Jacob A. Adeaga.

Rev. Oshoffa is currently on a pastoral working tour of Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, so he was represented at the ceremony by AVSE Kayode Ajala, Secretary of the Pastor in Council and Head of Media and Publicity. Several senior clergy attended too.

In his message, he reportedly accepted the award with humility and thanksgiving, and commended CAN for its commitment to Christian unity. The announcement tied the moment to Matthew 20:26: "Whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister."

Over to you:
- What does servant leadership look like to you in the life of your parish?
- How can Celestians and other denominations work together more in your community?
