Staten Island Parish in New York Plans a Harvest Week of Worship, Business Learning and Feeding the Homeless

A harvest week that goes beyond the pews is catching our eye today. According to an announcement from CCC Worldwide, the Celestial Church of Christ Staten Island Parish in New York prepared to celebrate its 34th Adult Harvest Thanksgiving on Sunday, October 18, 2026, under the theme "Harvest of God's Goodness and Faithfulness."

The grand service was set for the church auditorium at 96/98 Canal Street, following a week of activities from Tuesday, October 13:

- Prophetic Hour with Christ
- A Business Seminar for personal and enterprise development
- Women Council Power Day Service
- Word Ministration and Prophetic Ministration
- A Musical Night of praise and worship
- Feeding of the Homeless

What stands out to us is the mix. Alongside prayer and thanksgiving, the parish planned practical help for neighbours in need and a seminar to help members grow in business. The announcement says real thanksgiving should show up in acts of kindness as well as in song. The flyer points members to Lamentations 3:22-23 on the Lord's mercies and faithfulness.

The announcement came from AVSE Lolu Sanyaolu, MPIC, of the parish, and members of the public were invited.

Over to you:
- Has your parish paired its harvest with outreach or a skills seminar? What difference did it make?
- Which harvest-week activity touches you most: the vigils, the music, or the service to others?
